2022 SA Hip Hop Awards Nomination

It’s that time of the year again when Mzansi looks at the list of artistes nominated for the South Africa Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA). As usual, there will be celebration (among those who were nominated or clinched several nominations) and complaints (from those who were “snubbed” or weren’t nominated or the categories they think they deserve).

The SAHHA will be given in several categories, including Album of the Year, Best Radio Show, Best Female Rapper, Song of the year, and DJ of the Year. Among those who were nominated for this year’s SAHHA are Nasty C, Big Zulu, Blxckie, Priddy Ugly, and A-Reece.

Interestingly, there’s a category for Best International Act. And Canadian rapper Drake is nominated. Can one imagine Drake accepting the award if he should win it? What about the other nominee, Ye (formerly Kanye) West? Would he accept the award as well?
